Jeanne Johnston

SEU Campus Director

Though born in the Midwest, Jeanne moved to Florida as a young child and considers herself a Florida girl. She graduated from college with a degree in Education. She taught school for several years and then left the classroom to raise a family. As her daughters became old enough for school, she continued to use her education in homeschooling. With four daughters, Jeanne spent over ten years dedicated to their education. In the midst of raising a family, she stayed active in volunteering in the church. After 21 years of being a stay at home mom, Jeanne felt God calling her into full-time ministry. She joined the staff at Grace Family Church in 2012. Soon after, she went back to school and in 2014 received a Masters Degree in Spiritual Formation and Leadership. The additional education has only fueled her passion and desire to minister and further equipped her to serve Him wholeheartedly. She has a heart for discipleship and mentoring and passionately desires to see God become bigger in the hearts, minds, and souls of His followers for their good and His glory. Jeanne has four daughters, three sons in laws, and two sweet little grandsons. She enjoys spending time with her family, going to the movies, eating out, and reading.

Dr. Ron Beck

SEU Academic Director

Like so many people, as long as I can remember I have attended church. My mom used to read the Bible to me and my brothers before we went to school each morning. God used His Word to draw my heart to His as she read. I began my faith journey one morning before school by praying to receive Christ as my Savior. I experienced a call to full time ministry while I was in Junior High School. Serving in my local church provided a lot of practical ministry experience. After graduating from Bible College, my wife and I spent 14 years ministering to youth in two different churches up north. Then, God called us to a Lead Pastor position here in Tampa for the following 14 yrs. It was during this time that I earned my master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and my doctorate from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. God called again and led my wife and me to retire from full-time church staff ministry to start a non-profit specializing in Biblical counseling, coaching, and corporate chaplaincy services. Tampa Family Resources, Inc. is where God placed us for the past 10 years. Three years ago, God called again, and led me to SEU Tampa here at Grace Family Church. I was so amazed that God replaced my passion for pastoral preaching with a passion to prepare this next generation for ministry through teaching. To see the “light go on” in the eyes of a student when they grasp some biblical truth or principal we are discussing is truly rewarding and fulfilling! Once again, God has called. He has now led me to go deeper into the ministry preparation process our students are experiencing. I am honored and humbled to become the Academic Site Director for SEU Tampa here at Grace Family.
